How it works
-
Preparation + Grounding
5-10 min. Setting an intention and creating a safe, focused space. This step grounds you and sets the tone for the session.
-
Active Breathing
40-60 min. Engaging in specific breath patterns to achieve desired outcomes—whether that’s calming the nervous system, releasing tension, or accessing altered states of consciousness.
-
Integration
10+ min. The final phase. After the breathwork session, there’s time to reflect, create, or simply sit with what arises. Integration helps solidify the experience, turning insights into actionable steps or creative output.
Do you like to make things?
Our Creative Integration sessions give you time to explore and channel your ideas after breathing.
Breath/Work is also a learning space, art, and music studio with access to a library, art materials, and nstruments like synthesizers, tongue drums, and singing bowls, offering the tools and space you need to support your creative flow.

Breathwork styles 〰️
By deliberately controlling the rhythm, depth, and pace of breathing, breathwork can influence the nervous system, reduce stress, enhance focus and even alter emotional states.
Here are the styles we focus on at Breath/Work:
Breathwork for exploration
In these sessions, we’ll be using a dynamic and immersive breathwork practice designed to help you reach altered states of consciousness. This powerful method uses intensified breathing patterns to unlock expanded states of awareness, opening pathways for emotional release and profound personal insight. Paired with evocative music, it provides a safe, guided space for deep self-discovery.
This style of conscious connected breathwork is also used during our Breathwork for Artists + Writers Sessions.
This gentle practice focuses on calming the mind, grounding the body, and restoring inner harmony. Using steady, rhythmic breathing patterns, it’s designed to release tension, reduce stress, and promote a deep sense of peace and balance.
Incorporating a conscious connected breath, it’s a wonderful option for unwinding at the end of the day.
breathwork for balance + relaxation
This practice combines active breathing, gentle movement, and vocal expression to help release stored tension and emotions from the body. Through cycles of intentional breathwork and natural breathing, participants are guided to reconnect with their inner sense of safety and balance. This powerful technique supports emotional healing and renewal.
Unlike the other breathwork styles, we will not use an eye mask during this practice.

For those who find the sensory experience of wearing headphones uncomfortable, I also offer classes that do not require them. Please check the description of the class you’re booking to see whether headphones are used in that session.
Headphones are not used in our ambient sets.
